Ages of Man: Eight (Sixth Age) -- Woman as questioner, wearing veil and wimple, holds scroll, inscribed POUR QUAI PORT TA POTENT, in her right hand and raises her left hand. Hooded old man with white hair and beard, as respondent, leans on staff in his right hand and raises scroll, inscribed MORT ME ASTE PUR SARENT, in his raised left hand.
Scene with gold punched background, within initial D decorated with geometric ornament and diapered spandrels.
