Christ: confounding Soldiers -- Within garden, Christ, rayed cross as nimbus, raises right hand toward group of soldiers, wearing armor, some with spears, another with sword, all falling backwards. Among them, Judas, holding money bag in left hand, falls backward. Behind Christ, Peter, nimbed, draws sword at waist. Two other apostles, nimbed, turn to flee.
In foreground is lantern, fallen to ground.
In background, two soldiers, entering from gate, one bearing spear, approach scene.
Miniature within illustionistic frame inscribed at top PASSIO DOMINI NOSTRI IESV CHRISTI SCVNDVM (sic) IOHANNEM, and at bottom EGRESSVS EST D(OMI)N(U)S IESVS CV(M) DISCIPVLIS SVIS TRA(N)S TORRE(N)T(E)M CEDRO(N).
