Cleric, tonsured, with one foot on foliage, standing before initial I, hands extended toward text. Margins decorated with foliate ornament and gold balls; in lower margin, woman wearing snood, left arm to face, crouching. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on 6.26, feast of John and Paul, both of Rome.
