Bust of cleric, possibly nimbed, tonsured, enclosed in initial N decorated with foliate ornament. Margins decorated with foliate ornament and gold balls; in left margin, man or woman, wearing diadem (crown), seated on pillow, raising right hand, indicating text of first lesson with left hand. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on 7.6, Octave of the feast of Apostles Peter and Paul.
