Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, with crown of thorns, bleeding from wounds in head, hands, side and feet, is affixed with three nails to tau cross flanked by Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with joined hands, and by Evangelist John, nimbed, raising right hand. Scene is enclosed within initial D composed of white vine scroll.
Margins decorated with border of floreate and foliate ornament including white vine scroll, speedwell, rose, thistle, strawberry and viola, and inhabited by snail, butterfly, and monkey.
