Roman de la Rose: Scene, Lover commanded by God of Love -- Woman, representing Personification of Villainy, wearing diadem and necklace, extends hands to shoulders of Lover, wearing feathered cap and fur-lined coat, raising right hand, sitting on ground before God of Love (Eros), crowned, winged, possibly nude, raising right hand with bow, and holding book with pseudo-inscriptions with left hand, seated on decorated throne with portrait medallion on side panel.
All before trellis and garden wall with flowers, including roses, buildings and hilly landscape in distance.Text written in ruled space resembling scroll unfurling at edges.
