Miniature:
Jean Froissart: Chroniques, Book I, Chapter 222 -- Two groups of French soldiers in full armor attack each other with spears and sword. One group stands on slope of rocky outcropping. Four soldiers wear surcoats with coats of arms, including those of Bertrand de Guesclin, Captal de Buch and Roye.
Text describes battle of Cocherel in May, 1364.

In center margin, standards bearing arms of Captal de Buch, Rochefort, Vienne, and Mortaigu.
In right margin, standards bearing arms of Marneil, Annequin, Roye, and Sombernon.
