Christ: Deposition -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, kneeling, grasps right arm of Christ, cross-nimbed, blood issuing from wounds, as Joseph of Arimathea, standing on ladder, lowers his body from cross. Nicodemus, standing on second ladder, removes nail from His left hand. Evangelist John, nimbed, stands below cross. Mary Magdalen, nimbed, grasps Christ's feet with both hands.
