Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, is seated on throne below canopy, holding with both hands on her lap nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus. He looks and extends left hand toward donor, woman, wearing headdress, with joined hands, rosary hanging over left wrist, kneeling. Bishop, probably Claudius of Besançon, nimbed, wearing miter and cope, holding book with draped right hand and cross-staff with right arm, stands behind the donor, placing his left hand on her left shoulder.
Exteror scene; wall at right with doorway; vase of flowers on the wall.
Margins decorated with border of foliate rinceaux, and foliate and floreate ornament including strawberry.
