Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, wearing cross-surmounted fillet, holding scepter in left hand, points with right hand toward God, holding cross-surmounted globe, in arc of heaven bordered by clouds and cherubs (?), from which pour rays, with medallion inscribed IH[ESU]S and with cross above dove of Holy Ghost, descending toward Virgin Mary, with rays as nimbus, kneeling with joined hands raised beside prie-dieu and vase with lilies. Scene in oval medallion framed by two rows of busts of winged cherubs. Design stamped in gold, with scroll ornament at corners and beaded frame. Above medallion is inscribed DE LA HAYE.
