Miniature:
Male figure, eyes closed, falls from collapsed ass, eyes closed. Label inscribed PESSE identifies him as Sloth. Figure within landscape setting.
Lower margin:
Devil, identified by scroll held in his left hand inscribed ASTATOR, indicates group of figures within room, representing sloth. Woman, seated on bench, holding distaff, falls asleep beside sleeping dog on floor. Youth places right hand on shoulder of man standing before cobbler, holding knife in left hand, cutting shoe pattern and resting head in right hand. His attendant, seated on bench, holds awl and cloth in lap and rests head, supported by his left hand, against wall. In back room, shoe bottoms are attached to wheel suspended from ceiling.
