Roman de la Rose: Scene, Welcome speaking to Lover -- Lover, labelled in scroll, wearing draped hat, with left hand raised to breast, is addressed by Personification of Welcome, labelled in scroll, wearing fillet, with right hand raised and left hand extended.
Scene against diapered background within frame sprouting foliage, at right of which is scroll, inscribed in blue and red, DONEZ L’AMANT ET BELACUEIL.
