Innocents: Massacre -- Soldier, wearing armor, in right hand holds sword with which he transfixes nude infant, whose arm he holds in his left hand. Below them, mother, wearing headress, kneels with joined hands. On ground beside her is swaddled infant. At right, figure, wearing ermine-lined hood and gown, raises right hand and left forefinger. Beside him, Herod the Great, wearing ermine-lined hat and mantle, holding scepter in right hand, sits on throne beneath canopy. Scene in room with two windows and portal open onto landscape setting.
Margins decorated with floreate border.
