Christ: Pietà -- Christ, nimbed, with crown of thorns, wearing loincloth, bleeding from wounds, lies across lap of Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, supporting His head with draped right hand and lifting His right arm with her right hand. Evangelist John, nimbed, right hand to face, stands next to them, holding with left hand, Christ's right hand. Behind them is cross with titulus INRI.
Blue heads appear above scene, inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux.
