Christ: Deposition -- Joseph of Arimathea, bearded, wearing fillet, with draped hands supports body of Christ, cross-nimbed, in long loin cloth. They are flanked by Virgin Mary, veiled, and Evangelist John, both nimbed, holding arms of the Christ, detached from green cross with flared top and arms. Nicodemus, bearded, kneels with pincers in left hand, detaching one of two nails fastening feet of the Christ to the cross. He raises his right hand to hem of the loin cloth and glances toward the Christ. Above, two angels, one nimbed, emerge from clouds, swinging censers.
Scene against gold background, within frame decorated with foliate ornament and semicircles.
