Scene, Liturgical: Celebration of Mass -- Initial I enclosing youthful acolyte, kneeling, attending tonsured priest, wearing vestments, extending cross-inscribed wafer over altar draped with cross-inscribed cloth, possibly corporal, on which are chalice with burse. Scene in room with tiled floor and against patterned background. Decorated initial at beginning of First Lesson in Matins for Feast of Corpus Christi. Initial O enclosing head of man, wearing hat. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry, inhabited by half figures of angels, emerging from cloudy arcs of heaven (right); and half figures of two men, wearing hats, amid foliage (lower).
