Margin, right: Moses: Miracle of Manna -- Manna falls from cloudy arc of heaven upon three of four Israelites; one, wearing hood, kneeling in foreground, gathering manna; all in hilly landscape. Initial I enclosing possibly Evangelist John, with raised right finger, against gold background. Decorated initial at beginning of Lesson 9 in Third Nocturn of Matins for Feast of Corpus Christi. Initials Q and P enclosing heads of men, one wearing hat. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by half figure of angel, emerging from cloud, playing lute, and busts of possibly soldiers emerging from foliage (right); half figures of two men amid foliage (lower).
