1) Mary of Edessa: Scene, Monk departing -- Outside building, Mary of Edessa, mouth opened, extending left hand toward tonsured monk, wearing monk’s habit, looking over right shoulder and departing.
2) Abraham of Edessa: Scene, dreaming -- At right, within cross-surmounted cell, bust of Abraham of Edessa, scalloped nimbus, eyes closed, propping face on right hand. Outside the cell, winged wivern, issuing flames from ears and jaws, its wing perched on by dove, beside identical wivern, with another dove within its jaws.
