Magi: Adoration -- Two magi, wearing hats, one holding vessel and walking stick (?), stand behind third magus, kneeling, extending vessel with hinged lid to Christ Child, with crossed rays as nimbus, partially draped, seated in lap of Virgin Mary, nimbed. Beside the Virgin stands Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, wearing hood, with arms crossed on his breast. Star in sky.
In vignette in lower margin:
Magi: Journey -- Three magi, including two holding their hat-like crowns, are seated on horses, and are accompanied by men, wearing hats, behind them. In sky, beside star, is inscription: VIDENTES STELLAM MAGI GAVISI SVNT GAVDIO VALDE.
