1) Saul: anointed -- Samuel, nimbed, raises right hand and with vessel of affusion in left hand anoints head of young Saul, orant, in tunic, beside tower with one of two portals open. Scene in architectural setting.
2) Saul: Rending of Garment -- Saul, crowned, wearing vair-lined mantle, raises left forefinger, and rends garment of Samuel, nimbed, with right palm of hand shown, looking back at the king.
