Confessio Amantis: Scene, Xanthippe pouring Water over Socrates -- Xanthippe, wearing turban type of headdress with jewel, and fur lined gown, rests right hand on shoulder of Socrates and holds upturned pitcher above his head with her left hand. Socrates, wearing fur lined garment, is seated on bench, writing with right hand in book resting on draped desk, next to lectern on which is book, with shelf of books below.
