Scene, Sports and Games: Chess -- Within gold frame, chessboard with twelve red and gold pieces on squares lettered A and B for seven moves; diagram numbered 212. To left of board, initial C decorated with scrolling foliate infilling and with foliate ascender. Left and lower margins decorated with foliate extensions, upper part terminating in dragon-like hybrid animal biting part of the initial, and lower part on which is leaping dog.
