In mandorla, amid rays, Virgin Mary, nimbed, wearing cap, is seated on draped bench, holding on her lap with both hands, nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus, raising his left hand and looking up at her. At left, outside frame of miniature, man, probably donor, wearing dagger at waist, with joined hands, kneels at prie-dieu on which is book, looking up at the Virgin and Christ Child.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux.
