Scene, Liturgical: Celebration of Mass -- Tonsured priest, with arms crossed on his breast, stands behind another tonsured priest, with his hands on shoulders of third tonsured priest, with right hand raised in blessing above chalice on altar. Scene in decorated intial P at beginning of Per omnium before Proper Preface to Christmas in the Ordinary of the Mass.
Border composed of bands of foliate ornament inhabited by numerous grotesques. In top margin are two pairs of hybrids, including two men, one wearing miter; and veiled woman facing man wearing close cap. In right margin are two hybrid men fighting, one with bow and arrow and the other with sword and shield (Scene, Burlesque: Fighting). In lower margin are two pairs of hybrids, including woman facing animal.
Bands interrupted by lozenges and quatrefoils enclosing portraits of men and veiled woman.
