Divina Commedia, Paradiso: Scene, Ascent from the Earthly Paradise -- Dante, wearing hat, his left hand held by right hand of Beatrice, is lead toward initial L in which are seven arcs with stars. Atop the arcs, Christ, nimbed, holding bannered (?) staff with right hand, is seated in mandorla flanked by six angels, nimbed, with joined hands.
