Pietro de Crescenzi: Livre des Prouffis Champestres et Ruraux, Book I -- Pietro de Crescenzi, indicating with right hand timber-frame buildings under construction, converses with another man. Within one building, laborer carves joins using hammer and chisel. Beyond, second laborer chops timber with axe. Two laborers thatch roof.

Foliate border frames miniature and text. Two pheasant flank blank space in lower border presumably for heraldry.
