Christ: Crucifixion -- Hand of God issues from heaven, flanked by half figures of Personifications of Sun and Moon, each veiling face. Below, Christ, cross-nimbed, head inclined, wearing long loin cloth, is affixed to rough-hewn cross embraced by kneeling female figure, possibly Mary Magdalen or Judith of Flanders. To left, Virgin Mary, nimbed, holding book in right hand, extends her mantle toward Christ. Opposite, Evangelist John writes in book in left hand with pen held in right hand.
