Miniature containing diagram of the Tree of Affinity is divided into two registers:
In upper register, crowned figure, within mandorla-like frame formed by branches of tree, extends books to two bearded male figures, on other side, in foliate roundels formed by branches of tree.
Man, crowned, and woman, veiled, flank tree.
Camel at base of tree.
In lower register, two male figures, one holding inscribed scroll and the other a book, flank base of diagram.
Background decorated with foliate ornament. Miniature, surmounted by foliate ornament, is framed by text.
Decorated initial A begins text describing Tree of Affinity.
