Evangelist Luke, nimbed, wearing headgear, sits on chair, holding book in both hands. Beside him is his symbol (ox). He is in vaulted room, with window and door, and within architectural frame.
In margin is floreate border, including roses, thistles, and strawberries. It is inhabited by three birds.
