Shepherds: Adoration -- Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, stands behind Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, kneeling with hands extended above nude Christ Child, with rays as nimbus, laying on her mantle on the ground. To right are two shepherds, including one kneeling, holding lamb, and the other standing, with right hand raised, indicating angel, holding scroll inscribed GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO, and enclosed in cloud. Decorated initial L at top right. Gold background.
Left margin with grotesqueries and scroll ornament, possibly including fantastic dolphins.
