Apostle, Paul: Conversion -- Paul, nimbed, scimitar at his waist, wearing spurs, is astride falling bridled horse, looking up over right shoulder, next to scroll inscribed DOMINE QUID ME UIS FACERE ACTUU(M) IX (Acts of the Apostles 9:6). Above, half-figure of God, crossed (?) nimbus, raising right hand in blessing, holding tripartite globe with draped left hand, appears in arc of Heaven next to scroll inscribed SAULE SAULE Q(UI)D ME P(ER)SEQ(UE)RIS. DURU(M) EUM EST TIBI CONTRA STIM(ULUM) CALCITR(ARE) (Acts of the Apostles 09:04-05, variant).
Scene in landscape with trees and rocky outcrop.
