Christ: Nativity -- Nude Christ Child, reclines amid rays on hem of garment of Virgin Mary, nimbed, wearing knotted headdress, kneeling with joined hands raised, looking down at Him. beside fire. Joseph the Carpenter, kneels at His head, extending right hand, holding candle in left hand. Fire is next to them in foreground. At left is shed with thatched roof, beneath which ox and ass eat from straw in manger. Behind ruined wall, three men, two wearing hats, one wearing hood, look on. In distance angel hovers above two shepherds, next to flock (Shepherds: Annunciation).Christ: Type, Salvator Mundi -- In upper margin, medallion encloses bust of Christ or God, rays as cross nimbus, wearing imperial crown, raising right hand in blessing, holding with left hand tripartite globe surmounted by cross.
