Within initial I decorated with foliate ornament, seven medallions enclose:
1) Creation Scene: 1st Day and Creation Scene: 4th Day -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, gestures toward clouds enclosing stars and personifications of sun and moon; earth or sphere on which are cracks or rivers is at right. He is surrounded by five angels, all nimbed.
2) Creation Scene: 2nd Day -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, gestures toward earth surrounded by waters and clouds; two angels, nimbed, are at top and bottom.
3) Creation Scene: 3rd Day -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, extends hands toward three trees surrounded by waters; two angels, nimbed, are at top and bottom.
4) Creation Scene: 5th Day -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, extends hands towards eight birds, including dove and duck, flying above water in which are fishes.
5) Creation Scene: 6th Day -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, standing beside three angels, two of whom are nimbed, extends His hands toward six animals, including ox, sheep, goat, ass, deer, and tiger (?).
6) Creation Scene: 6th Day and Eve: Creation -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, draws Eve from side of Adam, reclining asleep on ground. Three angels are in background.
7) Creation Scene: God resting -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, hands crossed on lap, is seated on bench, flanked by two angels.
Foliate decoration on extenders at top and bottom of initial.
