Miniature:
Angel, Archangel Michael: transfixing Satan -- Michael, nimbed, wearing armor, raising sword with right hand, holding shield with left hand stands over devil, horned, winged, fire or blood emanating from mouth and left ear, on his back, grasping the shield with three claws.
Scene in landscape with body of water, and castle on hill in background.
Medallions :
1) In right margin, five six-winged angels.
2) Weighing of Soul -- Archangel Michael, nimbed, raising cross staff in right hand, holds with left hand scales, left bowl containing white soul, and right bowl containing black soul. Devil reclines on back before Michael, grasping bowl of scales containing black soul. Behind Michael stand three saints (?), nimbed, one wearing diadem (crown) surmounted by cross, two with joined hands.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including cornflower and dianthus, and inhabited by six winged angel with joined hands, angel grasping vine, two angels playing rebec and harp.
