Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, wearing fillet, before decorated panels or drapery, holding open book with pseudo-inscriptions in her lap, seated on cushion. Beside her is vase with lilies and Archangel Gabriel, wearing fillet, holding scepter in left hand and with right hand raised. Above both, Dove of Holy Ghost, nimbed, descends on rays, beneath unfurling scroll inscribed AUE GRATIA PL[ENA] DOMINUS TECUM from Luke 01:28. Scene in room with brick walls, vaulted ceiling decorated with stars, and tiled floor. Landscape and castle buildings visible through doorway. Margins decorated with foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature at beginning of Short Hours of the Holy Spirit.
