David: Scene, Unidentified -- Within upper register of decorated initial E, David, crowned, wearing cloak, raises both hands, right hand pointing. Before him, male figure raises hands and looks up. Behind David are four male figures. All are half-figures.
Solomon: anointed -- Below, in lower register of initial E, Solomon, crowned, wearing cloak, half-figure, raises right hand. To his left, Zadok anoints him, holding horn of unction in right hand. Male figure stands behind Zadok.
To right of Solomon, two figures stand with both hands raised (orant).
