Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, nimbed, with cross surmounting head, holds scepter with left hand and extends right hand toward Virgin Mary, kneeling at prie-dieu on which is open book, her right hand on breast, left hand on the book. Between them is vase containing lilies. Above left, half figure of God, wearing papal tiara, appears in arc of Heaven. Dove of Holy Ghost, in rayed mandorla, flies between God and Virgin Mary. In background is draped canopied bed.
