Evangelist Luke, nimbed, sits at lectern, with right hand holding pen to inscribed scroll and with left hand turning pages of book with pseudo inscription on lectern. Also on the lectern are another book with two clasps and a stylus case. Beside the lectern lays winged ox (Evangelist symbol), holding with its mouth and left foreleg scroll inscribed SECUNDUM LUCAM. Scene in room with patterned brocade wall hangings, tile floor, leaded-glass arched windows, and wooden barrel vaulted roof.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux ornament, inhabited by hybrid fantastic woman, with sword raised in both hands to second animal head, with pointed ears and protruding tongue in right margin; and in lower margin, fantastic hybrid man, with second dragon head with protruding tongue, aiming crossbow held in both hands.
