Scene, Liturgical: Confirmation -- Bishop, wearing hat and stole is seated on draped throne extending left hand toward, and raising right hand in blessing over head of man, with joined hands, kneeling before the bishop. Next to the man kneels woman, veiled, with joined hands; they are foremost in long line of men and women, kneeling, most only partially visible. Next to the bishop is cleric, wearing stole, and holding box.
At left, partially behind the bishop, man wearing headgear, holds hands or wraps cloth around head of youth standing before him. Group of men, wearing hats, most only hat visible, stand behind the man and youth.
Scene below arch decorated with crockets and tracery.
Initial A decorated with floreate ornament and inhabited by butterfly.
