Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Standing to left of the cross are Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands raised, supported by Evangelist John, and with two Holy Women behind, all nimbed. To right is soldier, wearing helmet and epaulets, with sword sheathed at waist, turning toward three other men, including one wearing helmet, holding banner and spear, one wearing cap, and one holding human-faced shield. Scene in landscape with trees and sky, possibly with star.
Margins with floreate and vinescroll ornament, with quatrefoils, including two inhabited by bird and fly.
