1) Evangelist, John: Scene, Devil stealing Inkpot -- Seated on island of Patmos, John, decorated nimbus, writes on scroll unfurled across lap. He is flanked by his symbol, eagle, and by black, winged devil stealing inkpot. Scene in landscape setting with sea and castle in background.
2) Evangelist Matthew, decorated nimbus, sits on throne of canopy type with patterned fabric, and writes on scroll draped over lectern, beside symbol, angel in white robes, kneeling. Scene in room decorated with patterned fabric.
3) Evangelist Luke, nimbed, raising pen in left hand, sits on bench beside lectern over which scroll is draped, beside symbol of ox seated at his feet. Scene in room decorated with patterned fabric.
4) Evangelist Mark, seated on throne decorated with patterned fabric, writes on scroll draped over lectern. Lion sits at his feet. Scene in room decorated with patterned fabric.
