1) Roman de la Rose: Hate -- Personification of Hate, name twice inscribed HAINE and HAINNE in rubrics, wearing draped hat, sits on bench, leans her head in profile on her right hand, and raises her left hand toward her breast. Figure against patterned background within frame of miniature decorated with foliate tendrils, in right column.
