Julius Caesar: Scene, Civil Wars, addressing conquered Peoples -- Before crenellated city wall and gate, man wearing wide-brimmed hat, possibly Julius Caesar, raises right hand to two groups of two men and of three men, all wearing brimmed hats, turban-like headgear or hats over hoods, most in conversation with each other. Scene in grassy landscape with trees in background. Figures painted in grisaille. Decorated with ivy-rinceaux and floreate ornament in border above and below right column of text on following page (fol. 94r), miniature within gold frame. Initial Q of Quant decorated with foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature for Chapter 959 of Faits de Romains.
