Heraldry, French: François de Valette -- Escutcheon decorated with the heraldry of François de Valette: per pale, dexter gules a lion rampant or; sinister, gules a hawk argent
; surrounded by two collars one knotted and interspersed with scallop shells of the Order of the Holy Spirit, and one of interlocking M's alternating with fleur de lis of the Order of Saint Michael, oval medallion of Archangel Michael (transfixing dragon?) and Maltese Cross of the Order of the Holy Spirit in which is dove; above all, out of torse on helmet, head of lion or, scrolling foliage. Supporters, pair of lions rampant.
