Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, wearing crown of thorns and short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to tau cross with titulus inscribed INRI, emanating rays. Embracing the cross is Mary Magdalen, kneeling on ground. Flanking Christ are Dysmas and Gestas, both wearing short loin cloths and bound to tau crosses; Gestas turns away from Christ. On the ground are Virgin Mary, veiled, kneeling with joined hands raised, supported by Evangelist John and by one of two Holy Women, wearing turbans; and to right is horseman, wearing hat, with right hand on his breast, with two other men, including one indicating Christ with right hand. City of Jerusalem amid hills in background.
