Christ: Flagellation -- Christ, crossed nimbus as rays, wearing loin cloth, body covered in wounds, with hands and feet bound to column, flanked on either side by two tormentors, each raising whip. All in arcaded interior with tiled floor and two figures, probably Pilate and soldier, at doorway. Margins decorated with diapered border with infilling of flowers and pearls. Miniature at beginning of Prime in Short Hours of the Cross.
