Beneath cloudy arc, Virgin Mary, nimbed, crowned, seated on bench, with both hands supporting Christ Child, cross-nimbed, nude, seated on her lap, both surrounded by four angels, one with joined hands raised, and one, partly kneeling, extending vessel with both hands, two as musicians, kneeling or sitting, one playing harp and the other lute. Scene in room with tesselated background and tiled floor. Margins decorated with foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature at beginning of the Fifteen Joys of the Virgin.
