Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, seated sideways on ass, holds Christ Child, nimbed, in gold clothes, seated on her lap, following Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, wearing hat over hood, turning head back, and carrying staff on right shoulder. Scene in hilly landscape with trees and city in background. Decorated initial D of first versicle formed with dragon and initial D of Psalm 110 (Vulg., 109) inhabited by fly. Miniature and text within architectural frame of two columns supporting pediment.
