Roman de la Rose: Scene, Jealousy reprimanding Welcome -- Personification of Jealousy, mislabelled MALEBOUCHE in scroll, with head draped, lifts garment with left hand, steps forth, and raises right hand toward Personification of Welcome, labelled in scroll, wearing black headdress, leaning back with right hand raised.
Scene against diapered background within frame sprouting foliage, at right of which is scroll, inscribed in red and blue, CEST BELACUEIL ET MALEBOUCHE (sic, the second mislabelled).
Below miniature, gold initial L with blue pen flourishes at beginning of text, LORS L’A PAR PAROLE ASSAILLI / GARS NEANS POR QUOY T’A FFIERT IL (?).
