Christ: before Caiaphas -- Group of six helmeted soldiers, the foremost wearing zoomorphic epaulettes, holding shield, four holding spears, one extends his right hand to right arm of Christ, rays as nimbus, bound by rope tied at wrists, standing before Caiaphas, wearing high priest’s miter and purse tied at waist, rending garments under canopied throne. In background, among two men, wearing hats, one raises right forefinger, and one wears fur-trimmed garments. Interior scene of paneled walls and coiffered ceiling, with portal at right and landscape beyond. Framed text block of 15 lines is suspended from tree branch over path with arbor and foliage in foreground. Trees and foliage forming arch over scene; miniature within architectural frame.
